First Look: Olsenboye

The new, lower priced line from the Olsen twins departs from the critically acclaimed, understated chic of The Row and Elizabeth & James, yet will surely please legions of teen shoppers everywhere.

Nylon Magazine got a great peek at more of the looks from Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's upcoming JC Penney juniors line, Olsenboye, including this pitch-perfect denim jacket. (Judging by the accessories here, it seems the cool girls take Polaroids!)
The first collection draws inspiration from NYC, and future lines will each fall under the spells of a different city. New York's looks include this punky graphic tee, which we can't wholly get behind (it has a Stephen Sprouse for Louis Vuitton vibe to us).
The school girl look was bound to make an appearance in the teen collection, and we rather like this "Gossip Girl"-inspired blazer, complete with white trim and crest.
This simple look feels straight out of The Row, the Olsens' simple-yet-incredibly-expensive line -- a fact that will please most fashion-forward fans of the twins.
More schoolgirl charm with a trim hoodie layered over a full plaid miniskirt. The accessories in Olsenboye were what initially caught our eye -- this simple cross-body bag has a flirty charm.
One of the original looks released by JCPenney when the Olsenboye line was announced -- again, the "Love" graffiti tee seems lackluster, but the bag has potential and the skirt is simple and versatile.
A closer look at the red skirt reveals it has a bow belt and suspenders. Our opinion of it has thusly dimished slightly.
This tim blazer might end up being one of the most sought-after pieces in the collection (still, it's no Stella McCartney for Kids band jacket). We're not sure how we feel about the shorts -- are they shorts are cut-off leggings? -- but the striped shirt is a great summer layering piece.
