PATH Service Resumes With Residual Delays

Service should run normally during rush hour

Service on all PATH trains in and out of New York City has resumed with some delays after an earlier electrical fire, PATH officials said.

All service should be running on time for rush hour, the officials said.

The fire apparently started in an electrical control panel.  Water apparently seeped into the panel, causing the blaze.

Spokesman Steve Coleman said the fire at PATH's control center in Jersey City transportation center forced service to be suspended at 1:20 p.m.

Firefighters are at the scene in Jersey City's Journal Square trying to bring the situation under control.
