EaterWire: The Conan Burger, Studio B to Reopen, Flickr Shilling, and More

LOWER EAST SIDE— Shopsin's has introduced a new burger, inspired by everyone's favorite late night TV host: "Added last week after Shopsin's appearance on Late Night With Conan O'Brien is the Conan Burger. In the spirit of Shopsin's macaroni and cheese pancakes, it is a cheeseburger combined with pancakes and served with real maple syrup and hot sauce. This combination actually works." [SE]

COLUMBUS CIRCLE— We already heard from Marco Pierre White about the economy. Will the menu change at Per Se? Will the prices change? That's a no: "Guests that come to Per Se are guests from around the world and guests who have very, very high expectations. And for us to try to reduce our costs, we’d have to lose the quality of our products. That would be a move that would be difficult to overcome." [GS]

MIDTOWN— Midtown Lunch has discovered that there is now a new frontier in shilling: Flickr: "Clearly the shilling from the newly opened Empanada Joe’s (on 8th Ave. btw. 43+44th) knows no boundaries...The shilling that happens in the comments of this site is well documented...but this may be the first time I’ve seen it done in Flickr. Come on Joe. Give it a rest!" [ML]

GREENPOINT— After months of issues with the DOB, Greenpoint club Studio B is reopening. The grand reopening is set for October 17. [BV via GS]

EAST VILLAGE— The press behind the East Village's Mercadito report their liquor license renewal, a somewhat contentious issue with CB3, was passed by the SLA. [EaterWire]
