EaterWire: Bua's New Bar, Production Lounge, Ghenet Shutter Rumors, and More

WEST VILLAGE— The owners of Bua, a bit of a standby on St. Mark's near Avenue A, are opening a new spot in the West Village in the "next week or so" called Wealthy and New and will open on 7th Ave South and West 10th St. [EaterWire]

GREENPOINT— Long awaited Greenpoint bar Production Lounge is finally open. They're hoping to lure in the crowds with a food menu they're launching this week, but an early reviewer is not impressed: "Whoever started this place clearly did not do his research. The last time I walked by there they had velvet ropes and what appeared to be two bouncers. I found this rather amusing as there was nobody around to 'bounce.' I give this place six months. Max." [Gothamist]

NOLITA— Grub Street is spreading some worrisome rumors about Nolita's beloved Ethiopian restaurant Ghenet: We’re hearing a rumor that Ghenet...has been given a week to vacate, and may be taking the landlord (the William Gottlieb estate) to court. Ghenet hasn’t given us comment (an employee who answered the phone a week ago would only say "it's still not decided" when asked about the future of the restaurant)..." [GS]

NEW YORK— A note on a few new initiatives: Both Dovetail and Allen & Delancy are launching brunches, and Izakaya Ten in Chelsea has launched a new yakitori menu and sake program.
