Fight Hunger (And Not Only Yours)

There are people even hungrier than you. Generation Harvest, the young professional's arm of City Harvest, is hosting its annual fundraiser-slash-restaurant and cocktail tasting “Summer in the City” Tuesday night at the Metropolitan Pavilion. City Harvest has been “rescuing” food and distributing it to hungry New Yorkers for over 25 years, but you can get your grub fresh from kitchens of Stanton Social, Sushi Samba and Dinosaur Bar-B-Q to name just a few of the restaurants that will be represented. Magnolia Bakery will provide the cupcakes for the cause, and hopefully some icebox pie.

Employees Only will be shaking up Hendrick's cocktails and Brooklyn Brewery is stepping up to combat sobriety and hunger at the same time. Tickets are available both as packages ($10,000 feeds 14 of your friends and 35,000 single mothers and their children; $2,500 feeds you + 3 and 1, 750 senior citizens for a week and so on down) or as individual tickets ($125 will fill your belly with the cities finest and provide 450 people with fresh produce).  Gorge yourself and feel good about it.
