Harlem's Aloft Hotel Revealed … Again!

The leaked early rendering of Harlem's Aloft condo/hotel (a cheaper cousin of Starwood's W Hotels) was one of the most jarring designs we've ever seen: a mishmash of glass and other stuff wrapped around an old carriage house that went condo a few years back. But a tipster just sent along an updated rendering of the 12-story building under construction on Frederick Douglass Boulevard at 124th Street, and phew, it's looking a lot better, wouldn't you say? The development will have 124 hotel rooms and 44 apartments, and according to the Aloft Harlem website, open on June 1, 2010. That website has also been updated with some interior renderings, seen in the gallery above.
