New Yorkers and tourists are feeling the money squeeze, and the city's tourism and marketing organization appears to have taken notice.
NYC & Company just launched a program called "NYC: The Real Deal." It's one-stop shopping for tickets to tourist attractions from the Empire State Building to the Top of the Rock.
It also features "Buy One, Get the Second Ticket 50% Off " specials for more than 100 businesses, including Broadway shows, museums and hotels, according to NYC & Company. The offers span the five boroughs. And, many of them are available through June.
Sample savings include: Midtown hotels for $160 per night, New York Harbor dinner cruises for $95 and tickets to the new Broadway musical "Rock of Ages" for $84.
NYC & Company says dining and shopping deals will be coming soon. For now, pick a day and an attraction and start shopping at nycgo.com/realdeal.
