Issue Project Room's 6th Anniversary Birthday Party and Benefit
Issue Project Room has its new space and they are throwing a party to celebrate its 6th birthday. Loosely inspired by Alejandro Jodorowsky's "The Holy Mountain," ISSUE Project Room and Galapagos Art Space will collaborate to host the event, which will be part costume party and part benefit, with raffles, prizes, photobooths, auctions, and performances. 33rd District Council Race Debate
The New Kings Democrats are hosting a debate between the candidates for the Democratic nomination for the City Council seat in the 33rd District. The 33rd District includes Greenpoint, Brooklyn Heights, parts of Park Slope, Williamsburg, downtown Brooklyn, and Boerum Hill. The public is welcome to attend.

CB 6 Parks and Recreation Committee Meeting
Community Board 6 is having its Parks and Recreation Committee monthly meeting. On the agenda is a discussion with Brooklyn Bridge Park Development Corporation President Regina Myer on the status of the approved Brooklyn Bridge Park plans including updates on the ongoing site preparation work. Also, State Senator Daniel Squadron will share his ideas for how the development of Brooklyn Bridge Park should proceed, including a proposal to change the revenue structure for the park.
