Wednesday Food & Drink Round-Up

Gourmet Fresh Grocery Opens in Carroll Gardens
Court Street between 3rd Place and 4th Place
"The sizable new space (interestingly run by the people who ran the truly appalling Key Foods previously on the block) is reasonably priced, has great-looking produce, rotisserie chicken (!!!), and all the organic cereal brands, canned goods and specialty items a health-conscious Brooklynite could desire." [A Brooklyn Life]

Last Call for the Ballfields!
"Cesar Fuentes has announced that this weekend will be the last of this season for the Red Hook Ballfields vendors. They wrap on Sunday the 26th, while the vendors at the Brooklyn Flea will continue to operate through December 21." [Eater]

Chowhounds Dig Bussaco
833 Union Street (near Seventh Avenue), Park Slope; (718) 857-8828
"Bussaco, which opened this month in Park Slope, had corndog1 from the bread basket (baguette, olive, and a slightly sweet loaf), and things got even better from there. A frisée salad with egg and Surrey ham was just right... A special appetizer of octopus was tender, smoky, and delicious. Tortellini with squash and mushroom was another standout: 'Every bite tasted different.' Overall, he writes, it was an outstanding meal." [CHOW]

After the jump: The menu at Chestnut's new bar, Brooklyn's new BBQ truck, staffers from Char No. 4 and Rose Water speak out, and a new Brooklyn pizza joint gets rave reviews...
