Now that the budget and ambitions of Atlantic Yards have been scaled back and Frank Gehry has been dumped, what are we left with? Since Forest City Ratner has not been forthcoming to date, the Municipal Art Society took a stab at creating a rendering of what may be in store. As per The Post: "Instead of the bold new Brooklyn skyline proposed by Gehry, the MAS renderings portray a vision of urban blight: only the planned arena near Atlantic and Flatbush avenues and two adjacent residential towers remain, surrounded by a series of large "temporary" surface parking and other empty space." For those who want to voice their opinion on the matter, the last public hearings on the matter are being held tomorrow and Thursday from 2-5 pm and 6-8 pm at New York City Technical College's Klitgord Auditorium at Tillary and Jay Streets.
