House of the Day: 146 Halsey Street

This three-family brownstone at 146 Halsey Street has tons of original mohogany goodness that houses in this part of town are known for but we suspect it won't be enough to achieve the asking price of $995,000. Even if the renovated bathrooms and kitchens were not so, um, unimpressive, we also don't think that a million dollars is a realistic price for a nice but not spectacular house in Bed Stuy right now. We are impressed that the owners are currently getting $1,700 a month for both floor-through rentals—that's more than we're getting on our rental in Clinton Hill.
