The seemingly-unending repair of Fulton Street in Clinton Hill (ongoing since 2006) has taken a heavy toll on the commercial stretch. While Myrtle and Dekalb Avenues have flourished in recent years, Fulton has struggled, as evidenced by its many empty storefronts and lack of upscale stores and restaurants. The end is in sight though: Work is scheduled to be complete by December, according to DDC, 11 months late.
