There was much grousing when the State announced last fall that East River State Park, the newish park on the Williamsburg waterfront between North 7th and 9th Streets, would be closed to the public from January through March for budgetary reasons. Well, the grousing can stop now: According to an email from the Friends of the East River State Park (reproduced on Gowanus Lounge) the park re-opened yesterday, following intense negotiations by the Friends of the East River State Park. Snow sculpture time!
