The grand opening of Green in BKLYN is today. The store, located at 432 Myrtle Avenue, is described as "a one-stop shop where people who'd like to live an eco-friendly lifestyle—and those who already do—can find information and the products they need to easily and innovatively green their home and daily lives." They will sell recycled paper products, green cleaning and kitchen supplies, energy savers, and more. To celebrate its opening and Earth Day, they will have Mark Wyman of NY Energy $mart on hand to discuss energy conservation in the home, a reception for the students of PhotoVoice and their displayed works, and finally, at 6 p.m., a ribbon cutting ceremony followed by a toast with organic wine and Middle Eastern food from Myrtle Avenue's Gnarly Vines and Falafel House.
