34 Crooke Avenue, Unit 2A; Price= $375,000 GMAP
A 923-square-foot, 2-bedroom condo, according to StreetEasy. The unit in the Sacarno-designed new development, which is called The Alvora, was asking $399,000. One of the buyers in the building has been blogging about its progress for awhile at 34 Crooke Ave. Entered into contract on 7/10/08; closed on 4/23/09; deed recorded on 4/29/09.

$500-$750K Range: CROWN HEIGHTS
868 St. Johns Place; Price=$593,000 GMAP
A 3,500-square-foot, 2-family house, according to Property Shark. It was asking $649,000 and hit the market in late December, according to this listing. Entered into contract on 1/29/09; closed on 4/14/09; deed recorded on 5/1/09.

$750K-$1 Million Range: CLINTON HILL
306 St. James Place; Price=$750,000 GMAP
This 3,420-sf, 3-family brownstone has an interesting history. It was put up for auction last summer with an opening bid of $1.4 million and evidently didn't sell. It was then listed for $999,999 last October. The ad had this to say: "Estate Condition, four story, three family brownstone, 19' wide on a 90' lot. The parquet floors, tiled mantels, and original details are waiting for you to come in and restore all to its original splendor." Entered into contract on 12/18/08; closed on 3/26/09; deed recorded on 4/30/09.
