4 Restaurant Rumors
According to one tipster, the old Little D space will reopen as Fonda, "a 'high end Mexican' restaurant, opening by a chef who worked for Rosa Mexicano." ...Another tipster snapped the photo above advertising The Wing Bar in the old Panino'teca> space... And yet another tipster says that Eton is opening an outpost behind Zaytoons, in the space that was temporarily home to Sheesha... Earlier this week, we mentioned that Shakespeare's Sister on Court is being turned into a restaurant by the owner of Bocca Lupo and Nectar. The Strong Buzz is saying it'll be called "Strong Place, an American Bistro with a raw bar and a gastro-pub-esque menu, featuring wine and beer (24 brews will be on tap)."

2 Confirmed Openings in Red Hook and Greenpoint
Time Out New York reports that Italian spot O'Barone has opened in the old 360 space (360 Van Brunt, Red Hook), and Cookie Road has opened at 94 Franklin Street at Oak Street in Greenpoint. This "cozy colorful bakery" is serving "items like cheesecake, key lime pie and chocolate chip cookies" as well as "intricate hand-painted cookies, which can cost up to $25."

This year's Cheap Eats guide in Time Out New York focuses on delicious meals under 10 bucks. Local budget-friends spots include Williamsburg's Arepa Arepa, Boneshakers, Williamsburger, and La Superior -- and Red Hook's Fort Defiance and Brooklyn Ice House.
