An Apple a Day Keeps Brokers from Staying Away

Desperate times call for desperate measures. The marketing team at Douglas Elliman overseeing the sales process at The BellTel Lofts in Downtown Brooklyn began getting creative last month in its efforts to lure big-shot Manhattan brokers and their clients over the East River. Their lure? A free BellTel-branded iPod Nano. There was a little less than the advertised 8 gigs of space for brokers' music however: Some of the space was taken up with pre-loaded photos and video of the 250-unit conversion.
