The owners of eclectic Greenpoint vintage shop Kill Devil Hill were born to do "Ask a Shop Clerk" interviews, which might be why New York magazine brought the format back last week just for them. On the store's stock: "We sell antiques spanning the beginning of the Industrial Revolution to its decline." On why: "It was a great time—a time of big hopes, hucksters, fakers, heroes, villains, get-rich-quick schemes, dreamers, and doers."
