We’re told that every Thursday, Refinery 29 hosts private parties for the “fashion elite” at its pop-up store at 641 Eighth Avenue. Ha! We’d scoff at such Alizé-fueled frivolity, but how quickly the blog redeems itself by bringing news of a far more populist (and just plain awesome) event at Trophy Bar tonight. Every Tuesday from 8 p.m. till 10 p.m., a pop-up restaurant called Asia Dog takes over the Williamsburg bar. The menu on the Facebook event page advertises kimchee dogs, “bánh mì style” dogs, and “one special mystery dog.” What what? Might they, could they be talking about a trendy corn dog? We’re kind of dying to find out.
