Arctic Monkeys Return With Tour And New Music

Every good Anglophile has a soft spot for riff heavy, British four-piece bands with sloppy haircuts and smart trainers, which is why North Americans with love of all things England will rejoice to the news that the Arctic Monkeys will return to our shores this spring.

In the middle of May, the Arctic Monkeys will embark on a 12-city tour of the United States that begins on May 17 in Washington D.C. and stops at New York City’s Rumsey Playfield in Central Park on May 24 before winding its way to the closing show in Los Angeles in early June.

This will be the band's first New York show since December 2009 when they played two sold-out concerts at Terminal 5. Tickets for the Central Park show go on sale Friday, March 11 at noon via Ticketmaster.

The Arctic Monkeys plan on testing some new material from their untitled album expected out later this year on Domino Records. They did release a video for the new track “Brick By Brick” that has a down and dirty Detroit garage rock vibe. Check out the song below and get hyped for the show.
