Andre Leon Tally Really, Really Loves the Obamas

Vogue's editor-at-large, Andre Leon Tally, has made no secret of his unending infatuation with the soon-to-be-first family. Fashionologie pulled together some pretty incredible photographic evidence of his carrying Diane von Furstenberg's "Obama 08 Love Bag" around during fashion week, plus apparently he's got a $20 black beanie embossed with "Obama" in glittering crystals. Apparently he remarked of said dazzling headgear: "I bought it from a man on the street who was selling these out of the trunk of his car. I’m ordering more for Christmas gifts!" And don't even get us started on that Obama pin he's been toting around. Oh, and he's also apparently ordered an overcoat embazoned with Obama's face on it to wear to the inauguration. Sassy!

We just keep thinking about a little piece in The New York Post back in June where Tally hosted a party for the Obamas and folks started worrying that he might be positioning himself to be Michelle Obama's right hand man when it comes to her style. I mean, everyone remembers what happened with Jennifer Hudson's bolero, right? Maybe Michelle should be a wee bit cautious with the fashionistas that come calling ...
