The Alinea cookbook was released at the end of last week, and so far we've almost exclusively heard raves for the epic book (see the Times today for one). But today we have someone who wasn't exactly won over by the Achatz: "It hasn’t decided whether it’s an artifact documenting the phenomenon of the Alinea kitchen, or if it’s a link between the restaurant and the home cook, or if it’s a tool of the brand.
