A De Niro Does Dumbo

DUMBO—What does it take to get a downtown Manhattan megabroker over to Brooklyn? A crack at a $25 million listing. After months of going it alone and openly pitching scary Russian billionaires, the gang at Two Trees have brought in Raphael De Niro (Elliman broker, son of Robert) to co-broke their boss's gargantuan penthouse atop One Main Street, aka the Clocktower Building. The Tribeca/Hudson Square/West Village broker-to-the-stars already has a listing up for the triplex (with private crow's nest!) that threatens to shatter all Brooklyn sales records. We wish him luck. ONLINE—Our friends at Architizer have launched a contest for architects looking to recycle their rejection pile. Competition Competition 2010 is a design contest specifically for losing competition entries of 2009. Says Architizer, "Every year architects submit thousands of projects to competitions without receiving recognition or compensation for their work; this award is a do-over." The deadline for submissions is Feb. 15. Jury members include LOT-EK's Ada Tolla and Jared Della Valle. Five finalists will be exhibited, and one winner will receive $1,500. [CurbedWire Inbox]
