LOVE, ACTUALLY: Helen Mirren and her director husband, Taylor Hackford (Ray) bring their newest project--Love Ranch, wherein the grande dame plays the madam of Nevada’s first legalized whorehouse (can’t wait)--to the 92nd Street Y’s Reel Pieces series for a preview screening and post-film chat. 7PM.

SEQUEL: Sloane Crosley—who emerged as a sort of Lady David Sedaris with her essay collection, I Was Told There’d Be Cake—returns with How Did You Get This Number, a second batch of autobiographical musings that amuse while shimmering with little truths under the surface. She reads and signs at McNally Jackson Books at 7PM.

MOONLIGHTING: Jeff Daniels returns to City Winery with a residency this time--and yet we still can't get over the fact that it's actual-Jeff Daniels-from-Dumb and Dumber-Jeff Daniels writing and singing and plucking away on heartfelt songs about love and America. It must be seen and heard to be believed. 8PM.
