1/21: 10th Annual American Antiques Show, Wanda Jackson & Jack White…

…and buzzy made-in-Jersey musician Shilpa Ray releases her new disc with a show at Brooklyn Bowl

OLD IS NEW: The American Antiques Show turns 10 this year with a blowout long weekend of curated goodies. Through Sunday, take in three centuries of American design and craftsmanship at the Metropolitan Pavilion, and window shop (or shop for real) an array of beautifully preserved and restored everything from jewelry to objets to furniture. 11AM-8PM Friday, also on Saturday and Sunday (schedule varies).

ICON: She dated Elvis, then re-recorded a song of his (Let’s Have a Party) and turned it into a hit. (That’s just one of the nuggets that make septuagenarian Wanda Jackson, a.k.a. “the Queen of Rockabilly,” so fierce.) After stepping away from the spotlight for a while, Jackson was tapped by Jack White for a collaboration. The resulting album, The Party Ain’t Over, arranged and produced by White, comes out Tuesday; the pair (plus band) are at the Music Hall of Williamsburg tonight. 9PM.

ICONOCLAST: Awesomely out-there Shilpa Ray ended 2010 on a high note: the Indian-American musician known for lugging her harmonium to gigs and elevating screamy vocals to a new art form opened for not one but two legends, Nick Cave (solo, for his Grinderman project) and Patti Smith (with her band Her Happy Hookers). She celebrates the release of her band’s new album Teenage and Torture tonight at Brooklyn Bowl, 8PM.
