Zosia Mamet, a star of HBO’s “Girls” and daughter of playwright David Mamet, opens tonight Off-Broadway in “Really Really,” MCC Theater’s New York premiere of a college-set drama at the Lucille Lortel Theatre.

Mamet plays Leigh, a student whose life is thrown into upheaval after a sexual encounter with a handsome undergrad at a raucous keg party. Matt Lauria (NBC’s “Friday Night Lights”) plays Davis, the sensitive student whose future is called into question by Leigh’s accusations.

Mamet and Lauria are joined by Lauren Culpepper, David Hull (Broadway’s “Wicked” and “How to Succeed…”), Evan Jonigkeit (“High,” with Kathleen Turner), Kobi Libii and Aleque Reid. “Really Really” was written by Paul Downs Colaizzo and is directed by David Cromer (Off-Broadway’s “Tribes”).

In a new interview with Playbill.com, Mamet, 24, shared a glimpse of what it’s like to grow up the daughter of one of America’s most famous playwrights: “Potentially my name could perk up someone’s ears. But at the end of the day, it’s on me to deliver the performance. So it’s like, if I’m good, I’m good. If I’m not, I’m not.”
