“Jersey Boys” Welcomes Back Original Star John Lloyd Young

Pitch-perfect vocalist won a 2006 Tony in his Broadway debut as Frankie Valli

John Lloyd Young is working his way back to you.

The 2006 Tony Award-winner for his Broadway debut as Frankie Valli in "Jersey Boys" will again perform the role at the August Wilson Theatre from July 3 through Sept. 30.

Young, who was recognized as best actor in a musical, is the lead singer on the Grammy-winning "Jersey Boys" original cast album, which your mom, if she is at all like mine, has on permanent "repeat" in her four-door sedan.

"Jersey Boys" tracks the transformation of a group of blue-collar boys who became the American pop sensations Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. They wrote their own songs and sold 175 million records worldwide, all before they were 30 years old.

The show features all their hits, including "Sherry," "Big Girls Don’t Cry," "Walk Like a Man" and "Oh What a Night."

Since his star-turn in the hit musical, Young has played "Marius" in "Les Miserables" at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles and guest-starred on "Glee," working with one-time girlfriend Lea Michele on both.

He is also a successful artist, with one piece hanging at L.A.’s famed restaurant Spago. His debut album is due soon. Find more at johnlloydyoung.com and JerseyBoysBroadway.com.
