Tony winner Barbara Cook is bringing her life story to the stage, in a new one-woman Off-Broadway concert show titled “Barbara Cook: Then and Now.”

Performances begin April 13 at New World Stages, with an opening scheduled for May 4. The 65-performance limited engagement will end June 26.

Cook said she saw the connection the show while writing her upcoming autobiography -- for which her show shares the same name.

“I’ve always felt the narrative of my life came through many of the songs I sing,” Cook explained. “I’m hoping this evening will be a live companion piece to the book that taught me more about my own life than I ever would have expected.”

Ten-time Tony winner Tommy Tune (“Hello Dolly!”) will direct the evening of story and song, which was conceived by three-time Tony winner James Lapine (“In the Woods”).

Cook, 88, last appeared on Broadway in 2010’s “Sondheim on Sondheim.” She previously appeared in the original casts of “The Music Man,” “Candide” and “She Loves Me” -- which is being revived on Broadway this season with Tony winner Laura Benanti in the role Cook created.
