Zachary Levi Replacing Josh Radnor in ‘She Loves Me'

NBC’s “Chuck” and “Heroes Reborn” star Zachary Levi will return to Broadway this spring in the Roundabout Theatre Company’s revival of Sheldon Harnick and Jerry Bock’s “She Loves Me.”

Levi will replace the previously announced Josh Radnor in the production, who had to leave the production due to scheduling conflicts.

“She Loves Me” stars Tony winner Laura Benanti as Amalia, a clerk at a perfume shop who conflicts with Levi’s Georg. Unbeknownst to both of them, Amalia and Georg are also pen pals who are anonymously falling in love with one another.

The musical, which features a book by Joe Masteroff, is inspired by the play “Parfumerie” by Miklós László -- which was adapted into the films “You’ve Got Mail” and “The Shop Around the Corner.”

The “She Loves Me” company also includes NBC’s “30 Rock” star Jane Krakowski, Gavin Creel (“Hair”), René Auberjonois (“Coco”) and Michael McGrath (“On the 20th Century”).

This will be Levi’s first Broadway show since making his debut in 2013’s “First Date.”

“She Loves Me,” directed by Scott Ellis, will begin previews Feb. 5, 2016 at Studio 54, with an opening night set for March 3. The limited engagement production is currently scheduled through May 22.
