City to Close Streets Along Ghoulish Parade Routes

Throngs of Hallowen ghosts, goblins and assorted ghoulish characters take to the streets Friday in Halloween parades across the city. The Village Halloween parade will run through 6th Avenue between Spring Street and West 18th street. 

Transportation officials say the following streets will be closed from 12:01 a.m on Thursday, October 29 to 11:59 p.m on Saturday, October 31 in Manhattan for the Village Halloween Parade:

  • 6th Avenue between Canal and West 18th streets.
  • Dominick Street between Varick Street and 6th Avenue
  • Sullivan Street between Broome and Spring streets
  • Broome Street between Sullivan and Varick streets
  • Spring Street between Sullivan and Varick streets
  • West 16th street between 5th avenue and 7th avenue
  • West 17th street between 5th avenue and 7th avenue
  • West 18th street between 5th avenue and 7th avenue
  • West 10th street between 6th avenue and Greenwich Avenue
  • West/ East Houston street between West Street and Broadway
  • Christopher Street between 7th avenue south and 6th avenue
  • Greenwich Avenue between 7th avenue and Broadway
  • West 8th street between 6th avenue and Broadway
  • West 9th street between 6th avenue and Broadway
  • 14th street between 10th Avenue and Broadway

The following streets will be closed from 12:01 a.m on Thursday, October 29 to 11:59 p.m on Saturday, October 31 in Brooklyn for the Park Slope Halloween Parade:

  • Seventh Avenue between 3rd and 14th streets
  • 14th Street between 7th and 8th avenues
  • 3rd Street between 5th and 7th avenues

In the Bronx, City Island Avenue between Hawkins and Fordham streets will be closed from 6 to 6:30 p.m. for the Children’s Halloween Parade.
