The onetime Brentwood home of Marilyn Monroe has sold to a quick buyer who ponied up more cash than the asking price.
The storied Spanish-style residence, initially listed for $6.9 million, sold in less than 10 days on the market for $7.25 million, according to a spokeswoman for listing agent Lisa Optican of Mercer Vine. The agency declined to disclose the identity of the buyer.
Tucked in a cul-de-sac in the exclusive neighborhood of Los Angeles, the single-floor home boasts four bedrooms and three bathrooms on 2,624 square feet. Standout features include beamed ceilings and terra cotta tile floors, as well as a pool near a grassy yard and citrus orchard.
