Annaleigh Ashford, who won a Tony last Sunday for her performance in the hit revival of “You Can’t Take It With You,” will return to Broadway this fall in another revival of a beloved play: A.R. Gurney’s 1995 comedy “Sylvia.”
The “Masters of Sex” actress will be joined by Tony winner Julie White (“Airline Highway”) in the play about a married couple and the complicated relationship they form with their new dog Sylvia (Ashford).
The production begins previews Sept. 25 at Broadway’s Cort Theatre, prior to an Oct. 15 opening.
Direction will come from Daniel Sullivan (“The Country House”). Robert Sella (“Chitty Chitty Bang Bang”) will also star.
