    David Hasselhoff's battle with the bottle has been well-chronicled.

    David Hasselhoff was reportedly taken to the hospital Sunday night due to alleged excessive drinking.

    According to TMZ, Hasselhoff's 17-year-old daughter, Hayley Hasselhoff, became alarmed about her father's drinking and called her mother, Pamela Bach, claiming that the "America's Got Talent" judge was extremely drunk. A friend of Pamela's then reportedly called 911 and paramedics came to Hasselhoff's home in Encino, Calif., and took the actor to the hospital.

    TMZ reported that the actor was supposed to be released on Sunday night.

    In 2007, the 57-year-old actor made headlines when a video surfaced online which showed the actor in an apparent drunken state attempting to eat a hamburger while laying on the ground.

    When contacted by Access Hollywood, a rep for Hasselhoff was not immediately available for comment.
