Giuliana Rancic Heads Back to Work After Mastectomy

"I've been feeling better every single day since surgery," the E! News host said

Giuliana Rancic is back to work at "E! News" already, just two weeks after she underwent a double mastectomy in her battle with breast cancer.

"Thankfully, I've been feeling better every single day since surgery, and this weekend my doctors gave me the green light to get back to work," she told E! Online.

"Even though I moved a tad slower than usual today, everyone welcomed me back with open arms, and it was a wonderful homecoming," she added.

Rancic went under the knife Dec. 13 after having announced her plans for the surgery on "The Today Show" on Dec. 5.

The red carpet regular had had a double lumpectomy back in October, but doctors couldn't get all of her tumor out with that surgery.

Rancic opted for the double mastectomy — rather than another lumpectomy combined with radiation and years of anti-estrogen therapy — because it was the surest bet for getting rid of her cancer once and for all.

Also, the anti-estrogen therapy would have complicated the eventual task of pregnancy for the 37-year-old host, who documented her and her husband's struggle to conceive kids on their Style Network reality series "Giuliana and Bill."

In her first day back at work on Tuesdau, all reportedly went smoothly for Rancic as she shared stories about "Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol" and Matthew McConaughey's engagement.
