Maksim Chmerkovskiy's Got No Love For ‘The Situation'

Maksim Chmerkovskiy may hail from the same neck of the woods as Michael "The Situation" Sorrentino, but the bad boy of "Dancing with the Stars" isn't happy about how The Sitch is representing the locale.

"He's definitely misrepresenting everything about Jersey," Maks told Access Hollywood Live's Billy Bush and Kit Hoover on Friday. "What he represents are the people that are not from Jersey that come to [the] Jersey Shore and make it what it is.

"And that's exactly what it is," Maks continued. "He's not even from Jersey. He's from Long Island."

Maks, who was born in the Ukraine, but emigrated to the United States and makes his home in Jersey, added that The Sitch, "represents [a] really small group of people."

The "Dancing" favorite, who this season has pop star (and Access' guest "DWTS" blogger) Brandy as his partner, had something to say too about Bruno Tonioli's Bolton-gate.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Bruno called the crooner's jive with Chelsie Hightower on Monday, the "worst" in the show's 11 seasons, and Maks was one of the many stunned by the Italian judge's remarks.

"It was a lot over the top. I just feel like, first of all, it's early in the competition and there are a lot of people that are not really fighting for the final, they're just participating," Maks explained. "I think there's a lot of ways you can say it… but I would probably never say to Michael Bolton that he's the worst jive he's ever seen."
