She won't be a "Bachelorette" for much longer.
"I was crying, holding his hands, and he showed me the ring. I just nodded, like, 'Yeah!'," Pappas told Us magazine.
The pair met at a party for "The Bachelorette's: The Men Tell All" reunion special back in 2009.
Pappas, 28, landed the gig as "Bachelorette" in 2008 after being dumped by Brad Womack on a previous season of the "Bachelor."
With her turn as "Bachelorette," Pappas chose and accepted a proposal from snowboarder Jesse Csincsak. But the pair called off their engagement in Nov. 2008.
Stagliano's twin brother Michael, also a member of the "Bachelor" family, was one of the men who vyed for Jillian Harris on the 5th season of the "Bachelorette."
Michael, who is also recently engaged, proposed to Holly Durst on June 26 at her parent's home in Doylestown, Ohio. Durst, also among the show's veterans, contested for "Bachelor" Matt Grant on the show's 12th season.
"I did it at sunset on a dock with a gazebo. I used fishing line to hang 55 fake engagement rings from the roof," Michael Stagliano told the mag.
The foursome are planning a double wedding for next spring which may be featured on a new reality show, "Four Better, for Worse."
"We're going to compromise on the wedding style," Pappas said.
"The big day will be 'humongous,'" Stephen Stagliano added.
