Woman Suing Bieber Is Heading to Court on Battery Charges

Mariah Yeater allegedly slapped an ex-boyfriend

The San Diego woman who claims Justin Bieber is her baby's father has more problems on her hands than a lawsuit against the teen pop star.

She's also got a court date elsewhere, thanks to a criminal case against her based on allegations she slapped an ex-boyfriend.

Mariah Yeater, 20, has a bench trial in Las Vegas on Dec. 12 on a misdemeanor battery charge that could land her in jail for six months and levy a $1,000 fine.

According to a police report, Yeater slapped her 18-year-old ex on Dec. 21, 2010, while the pair argued over the man's new girlfriend's broken car window.

Yeater's lawyer said she pled not guilty but wouldn't comment further on the battery charge.

Yeater claims with her suit, in which she's seeking a paternity test and child support, that she became pregnant after having sex with Bieber backstage after one of his concerts.

Bieber, who is 17, has vehemently denied the claims and says he has never met Yeater.
