Marc Anthony, Jennifer López United for Puerto Rico Relief After Hurricane Maria

Former spouses Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez want Puerto Rico to know that they are uniting to assist the population after the destruction caused by Hurricane Maria.

The singers announced on Wednesday the creation of an alliance with other celebrities and sports stars to bring humanitarian aid to the victims of Maria.

Under the name "Somos Una Voz," the alliance is working to bring water, shelter, medicines, generators and communications to areas affected by Maria.

Among the celebrities involved are Alejandro Fernandez, Alejandro Sanz, Alex Rodríguez, Bruno Mars, Camila, Chayanne, Daddy Yankee, Ed Sheeran, Zone People, J Balvin, Jessy & Joy, John Leguizamo, Juan Luis Guerra, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Luis Fonsi, Maluma, Paul Simon, Pitbull and Ricky Martin.

The stars that make up the alliance total more than 1.3 billion followers in social networks, which they plan to use to raise awareness.

Lopez, who is of Puerto Rican descent and was born in the Bronx, has already donated $1 million to relief efforts in Puerto Rico.
