Welcome to the social media-sphere, Caitlyn Jenner.

Soon after unveiling her Vanity Fair cover Monday, the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star joined Twitter and Facebook. Her first tweet was a photo of her new cover (which hits stands June 9), and for her second, she wrote, "I'm so happy after such a long struggle to be living my true self. Welcome to the world Caitlyn. Can't wait for you to get to know her/me."

Within hours she'd amassed more than one million followers, surpassing the previous time record of attracting that number set by President Barack Obama. What took Obama five hours only took Jenner a few minutes more than four hours.

Jenner sent her first Tweet Monday morning at 9:17 a.m. PST and reached 1 million followers at approximately 1:20 p.m. PST. "Another Jenner world record, and at 65?" Jenner tweeted in response to news of the record, adding, "Who'da thought! Humbled & honored to have reached 1M followers in 4 hrs. Thank you for your support."

"Since she joined, there have been over 1.5 million Tweets about Caitlyn Jenner, including an outpouring of support from users," a rep for Twitter told THR.
