How do you celebrate Christmas? If you're Netflix, you get Bill Murray to assemble his famous friends for a holiday special.
Murray, George Clooney, Amy Poehler, Chris Rock and Miley Cyrus gathered together for "A Very Murray Christmas," a new holiday special directed by Sofia Coppola, written by Coppola, Murray and Mitch Glazer. You'll recall Murray and Coppola previously collaborated on 2003's "Lost in Translation."
Murray will play himself in the special, an homage to classic variety shows, which sees the star worrying nobody will show up to his TV special because of a snow storm in New York City. "Through luck and perseverance, guests arrive at the Carlyle hotel to help him; dancing and singing in holiday spirit," Netflix said in a release.
In addition to Clooney, Poehler, Rock and Cyrus, Murray's special features Paul Shaffer, Julie White, Michael Cera, Dimitri Dimitrov, David Johansen, Maya Rudolph, Jason Schwartzman, Jenny Lewis, the band Phoenix, Frederic Moulin, Rashida Jones and more.
"A Very Murray Christmas" debuts on Friday, Dec. 4 on Netflix.
