Jewel and her longtime boyfriend, rodeo champ Ty Murray, have married, Access Hollywood has confirmed.
The couple eloped at the Atlantis/Cove Resort in the Bahamas on Thursday, a rep for the star confirmed to Access.
“I dreamt about this day since I was a little girl on a ranch in Alaska,” Jewel said in a statement. “It was relaxed and romantic. I wore a traditional wedding gown and diamonds and he wore jeans and a button down shirt! Ty’s definitely my perfect prince.”

In June, Jewel paid a visit to Access Hollywood where, in an interview for “The Billy Bush Show,” the singer confirmed she wrote “I Do,” a song from her new album, “Perfectly Clear,” about her boyfriend of 10 years, Ty. She hinted, however, that marriage was something weighing on her mind.
“I sort of wrote it about my life with Ty obviously, but also about Hollywood — you know how everybody’s getting married, it’s sort of like a fashion accessory,” Jewel told Billy. “Marriage is great, but it’s really serious and it can mess your life up forever, or it can be heaven. The difference is really up to you.”
Jewel did say though that she would consider marriage if children were involved.

“If we have kids, we’ll definitely get married,” Jewel said. “I just love him more everyday. I think we have a great relationship, but I’ve never felt the real ‘gotta get married’ thing. I think for like, kids, we’d definitely want to do it for that, but other than that I don’t really see the need.”
And lending weight to Jewel’s previous comments regarding marriage and its tie in with children was Ty’s statement about the couple’s marriage, released on Friday. In his statement, he confirmed the couple were heading toward expanding their brood.
“We both have been so blessed in our lives,” Ty said in a statement. “We’re lucky to have each other and look forward to starting a family together.”
But it appears there is no baby news yet. A rep for Jewel confirmed to Access the singer is not pregnant.
The couple, who live together on a working 2,200-acre ranch in Stephenville, Texas, never announced their engagement.
On Wednesday, Jewel did not drop any wedding hints, but announced to her fans she was “off to the Bahamas” with Ty, in a blog on her Web site.
“I have a [six] day vacation and we are going with our good friends Jason (I call him ‘Turtle’) and Amy. You guys may remember Jason from my last band — he was the key board player, (he is in the band Green Day now),” she blogged. “Now that ‘Nashville Star’ is wrapped up, and the Brad [Paisley] tour is on a mini-break, I have a few days to get away, and I’m ready! Gosh — I’m excited.”
