Star Jones Recovering After Pre-Planned Surgery

Former "View" panelist Star Jones had heart surgery earlier this week, a rep for the television personality revealed in a statement to Access Hollywood.

"On Wednesday, March 17th, a pre-planned cardiac surgery was performed on Star Jones," the statement from the rep read.

The surgery was related to another surgery Star had three decades ago.

"This recent surgery is a follow-up to the thoracic surgery she had 30 years ago," the rep's statement continued. "The procedure was successful and she is recovering well with her family. Star is grateful for everyone's thoughts and prayers."

Star, who had gastric bypass surgery in 2003, has been Tweeting about focusing on her faith in recent days, but hasn't posted any new messages since earlier this week.

"Be blessed y'all. Remember your greatest weapon is PRAYER because it is the key to heaven; but FAITH unlocks the door!" she wrote on what appears to be here official Twitter page, later adding, "It's clear that God is trying to tell me something…& I plan to listen. My birthday is in 10 days…so I'm giving myself a special gift…"

Star's 48th birthday is on March 24.
