Shia LaBeouf Released From Hospital

After a nearly five-day stay, Shia LaBeouf has been released from the hospital following his car accident in Los Angeles.

The “Transformers” star was released from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on Thursday night, Access Hollywood has confirmed.

LaBeouf, 22, was admitted to the hospital early Sunday morning after rolling his Ford F-150 truck in a traffic collision.

At the hospital, LaBeouf was booked on suspicion of DUI shortly before undergoing surgery on his left hand, which was injured in the crash.

But while authorities believed the actor was drunk, one person who says otherwise is LaBeouf’s “Transformers” director Michael Bay.

In an interview with Billy Bush for Access Hollywood and “The Billy Bush Show,” Bay said several hours had past between the time his star had his last drink and when the accident happened.

“You’re gonna see — that’s gonna go away,” Bay told Billy. “That’s fresh news… He was not drunk. He was drinking hours and hours before.”

As far as the injury to LaBeouf’s hand goes, the director said they may actually write that into the “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” script.
