ROLL CALL: ‘Dexter' Takes A Stab A Politics

Your Daily Dispatch of Celebrity Shenanigans

‘Dexter’ Takes A Stab A Politics: Artist Shepard Fairey has given Showtime’s “Dexter” a political spin in honor of the 2008 Presidential election campaign (and the show’s upcoming return in September). In a promotional poster released this week reminiscent of Obama’s popular “Hope” poster, the character of Dexter appears to be running on somewhat of a more aggressive political platform (you know, being that he IS a serial killer!). We doubt Dexter would ever end up in the White House, but if he did, at least the streets would be safe.

Sam Lutfi Won’t Keep Away From Brit: Just when things appeared to be golden for Britney Spears, former Team Spears member, Sam Lutfi, wants to fight the restraining order he was slapped with that keeps him away from Britney, E! Online reports. “Sam won’t sign a permanent stay-away,” a Lutfi insider told E! A hearing on Britney’s conservatorship is scheduled for July 31, 6 months from the date that it was granted. One of the issues that could be decided is what Lutfi’s presence can be in the pop star’s life. We’d prefer to see him kept 250 yards away.

K-Fed Is A Happy Father: In his first appearance since being awarded sole custody of his and Britney’s children, Kevin Federline appears to be very pleased with the outcome. “I’m happy that everybody’s OK,” K-Fed told Us Weekly at Ryan Sheckler’s X Games Celebrity Skins Classic Tuesday. And… he’s probably quite pleased Lutfi is still kept at a distance.
