Rupert Everett's Latest Insult Target: Jennifer Aniston

Rupert Everett has aimed his latest put-downs at Jennifer Aniston, reportedly calling her career “tasteless.”

Everett, the voice of Prince Charming from the “Shrek” sequels who is infamous for insulting his Hollywood colleagues, complained in a recent interview with BBC Radio that Aniston belonged to a select group of industry-favored A-listers, according to Usmagazine.com and E! News.

"If you look and analyze the careers of many, many stars, you'll find that they're mostly sustained by the business," Everett said. "You'll find there's lots of women and lots of men in the business that the powers that be decide are right for their business, and they'll stand with them for quite a long time."

Someone like Aniston, the star of such box office duds as “The Bounty Hunter” and “The Switch,” will “have one too many total flops, but she's still a member of that club,” Everett said.

“And she will still manage to…like a star forming in the universe, things will swirl around her and it will suddenly solidify into another vital tasteless romcom, you know, a little glitter next to the Crab Nebula,” he added.

Aniston joins a long list of actors Everett has said have wrecked their careers.

USA Today points to an interview in the UK Independent from Dec. 2007 where Everett fingered Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Diane Keaton, Robert Redford and George Clooney -- all in one sitting.

"They're all just tragic parodies of themselves," he told the paper then. "Al Pacino looks like a mad old freak now. I say give it a rest, or go and do some serious stuff."

Everett reportedly told the BBC he also had a problem with Colin Firth.

"Colin Firth I don't think was at all good in 'Mamma Mia!' I would have thought it was almost a careericide," Everett said. "On the other hand, I think his performance in 'A Single Man' was the best performance of his life."

Guess that balances things out.
