Last Laugh: Comic Dane Cook's Half-Bro Ordered to Pay $12M

Darryl McCauley and his wife admitted stealing from the jokester

Dane Cook's half-brother has been ordered to pay the comic $12 million after he and his wife admitted stealing from him.

The Massachusetts attorney general's office ordered Darryl and Erika McCauley to pay restitution after they pleaded guilty to stealing from him, the Boston Globe reported. The pair were accused of embezzling millions from Cook while Darryl was working as his business manager.

In October, Darryl McCauley was sentenced to five to six years in prison on charges including larceny,  forgery, embezzlement and other charges. His wife was sentenced to 2 ½ to three years in prison on charges including two counts of larceny.

According to a spokesman for Attorney General Martha Coakley, the court will soon add up the couple's assets. The McCauleys bought a home in York Beach, Maine, and also invested in a hotel and restaurant there.
