There’s one person Katy Perry won’t be kissing anytime soon: ex-boyfriend Travis McCoy.
The “I Kissed a Girl” singer and the Gym Class Heroes frontman have broken up, according to entertainment site Celebuzz.
The split came despite the then-couple’s recent Christmas vacation to Mexico.
“It’s a hardship, but she’s regrouping,” a source told the site.
Katy was reportedly in good spirits while hosting Gridlock New Year’s Eve, a party held at the Paramount Pictures lot in LA. Travis, on the other hand, took to his blog to share his feelings, posting the lyrics to the songs “Lookin’ Out The Front Door” by the Main Source and “The New Year” by Death Cab For Cutie on his Friends Or Enemies journal on December 31, 2008.

“We fight every night, now that’s not kosher / I reminisce with bliss of when we was closer,” the opening lines of “Lookin’ Out The Front Door” read, while another line stated, “You act like you’re 10.”

In June 2008, People reported that Travis had given Katy a diamond promise ring, with a silver band for himself with “Katy” inscribed.
“She was so excited! And I’d set up flowers everywhere,” he said, adding that the pair were about to head out on the Warped Tour together. “We’re going to spend the whole summer together… It’s going to be a good time.”
