Jennifer Lopez Completes First Triathlon

Jennifer Lopez completed her first triathlon on Sunday, finishing the Nautica Malibu Triathlon in 2 hours, 23 minutes and 38 seconds, according to Us Weekly.

The star was cheered on by husband Marc Anthony, who reportedly waited on the sidelines and kissed his wife in between the biking and running portions of the event.

But she didn’t complete the three-part race just for the physical challenge.

“This is an amazing day,” Jennifer told the crowd after, according to Us. “I feel really great and so glad I finished and that I made it out of the water, but more amazing than that, I feel really great that we raised $127,000 for the Children’s hospital [of Los Angeles] and hopefully it’ll go to good use.”

The event as a whole reportedly earned $950,000 for charity.

After the race, Jennifer joined Marc and friends Matthew McConaughey and his family, girlfriend Camila and new son Levi, in the VIP area.

Matthew competed as well, reportedly finishing the race in 1 hour, 30 minutes and 44.7 seconds.

J.Lo competed despite a foot injury which forced her to cancel her appearance as guest judge on the “Project Runway” finale.

“She’s determined to get through the race,” the star’s rep told Access Hollywood on Friday.

J.Lo, new mom to twins Max and Emme, told “Good Morning America” in August that the idea for taking on the heavy-duty athletic competition was inspired by her third trimester.
