Eminem Set To Perform At 2009 MTV Movie Awards

Eminem's comeback will take another step on May 31, when the notorious bad-boy rapper will take the stage to perform at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards.

Slim Shady's return to the stage, which MTV announced on Tuesday, will come days after the release of his sixth studio album, "Relapse," on May 19. The album features the newly released single, "We Made You"—a song that openly mocks Jessica Simpson and Lindsay Lohan, among other celebrities.

And new to this year's awards ceremony: fans have the opportunity to nominate the films. Viewers can vote online for the movies they want to see nominated through April 20, and on May 4, the nominees will be officially announced. The public can then vote for the winners, which will be announced live at the awards show.

Fans won't have to worry about a lackluster show, either — Eminem won't be taking the Movie Awards stage alone. MTV will announce additional performers and presenters joining Em on stage in the coming weeks.
