Ed Westwick To Vamp Up ‘Californication'

One of "Gossip Girl's" sexiest men is joining Showtime's "Californication," Access Hollywood has learned.

In a move that's sure to get fans' blood pumping, Ed Westwick, known for his role as edgy young playboy Chuck Bass on The CW show, will arrive in the second episode of "Californication's" Season 3 as Balt, a student with a fascination for vampire literature. It was unclear at press time if Balt's vampire passion means he is a "Twilight" fan.

Other guest stars for Season 3 include Eva Amurri ("Saved!"), Embeth Davidtz ("In Treatment") and rocker Rick Springfield, who will join previously announced actors Kathleen Turner, Diane Farr and Peter Gallagher.
